Youth Pastor

FULL-TIME: 40 hours / week

Gateway Fellowship's Youth Pastor is part of a pastoral team, and works specifically with 6th to 12th grade students to guide and encourage them as they discover and mature in their faith in Christ. The Youth Pastor will work well in a team environment and contribute to the discussion and vision of Gateway, be a passionate follower of Jesus with an active devotional life that is evidenced in action, attitude, and behavior, be supportive of other team members seeking to work in harmony with one another, and be passionate about leading and discipling youth. General responsibilities include organizing and leading ministry teams, providing ongoing training for volunteers, participating in regular church events, and developing and maintaining the student ministries budget.

Event / Gathering Expectations:

  • Weekly youth gathering
  • Sunday youth program (currently 9:00 AM)
  • Mid-week groups
  • Special events including winter and summer camps
  • Participation in all-church events as scheduled

Essential / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience or proven ability to direct a large youth ministries program
  • BA or BS degree required, divinity degree desirable
  • Meets biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership
  • Organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to build and lead volunteer teams
  • Competency with basic computer software and a desire to learn new skills
  • Effective communicator

Substitute Teachers

PART-TIME: As needed (hourly pay)

Substitute teachers needed for the upcoming school year on both Gateway Christian Schools campuses! Substitutes can choose which days they are available. COVID protocols are in place for in-person learning. Job duties include elementary & secondary substitutes implementing lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher, managing the classroom effectively, and maintaining a positive learning environment. Lunchroom, recess, lunch prep, preschool and specialist substitutes supervise students in and out of the classroom, on the playground and in the cafeteria.

Requirements:

  • Ideal substitutes have a bachelor's degree in any subject.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and instruct students of all ages.
  • General knowledge of several subjects.
  • A heart for serving children.
  • Pass a state and federal background check and fingerprinting.

Bus/Van Drivers & Substitutes

PART-TIME: As needed (hourly pay)

This job requires you to transport children to and from school, maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times, obey all traffic laws, perform inspections of the vehicle before and after each route, and to ensure safety of all students.

Requirements:

  • Pass a state and federal background check and fingerprinting.
  • Be dependable and on time.
  • Enjoy working with students.
  • CDL license required with bus endorsement.
  • Clean driving record required.

HS History Teacher

FULL-TIME: 40 hours / week

The primary responsibility of the teacher is to provide classroom instruction to the students of Crosspoint, as well as being a Christian role model to them. Teachers should view their role as ministry, helping each student towards reaching their full potential in Christ. This position includes teaching Human Geography, World History, AP World History, and a subject matter related course.

Requirements

  • Prepares detailed lesson plans for all courses, using a variety of teaching methodologies to create an engaging and safe classroom setting where all students are held to high expectations
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and expertise in the following areas: team building, communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, and time management.
  • Under the direction of the Holy Spirit integrate Scriptural concepts, truths, and application into the instruction within all disciplines.
  • Attend all faculty meetings, workshops, and other required professional meetings.
  • Keeps accurate record of all communications with parents regarding their student’s academic or behavioral status in the class
  • Attends all in-services, department meetings, and school events as scheduled
  • Coordinates field trips and special events, as needed
  • Attends students’ retreat every year, as scheduled by the Administration
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned

MS Science Teacher

FULL-TIME: 40 hours / week

The primary responsibility of the teacher is to provide classroom instruction to the students of Crosspoint, as well as being a Christian role model to them.  Teachers should view their role as ministry, helping each student towards reaching their full potential in Christ. This position includes teaching Middle School grades 6,7, and 8.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, specifically Science Education preferred
  • State teaching certificate in specific content area preferred
  • Current ACSI certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Teaching experience at Middle School level
  • Self-motivated, energetic, organized, flexible individual who desires to relate, nurture, and minister to children
  • Must be a person of spiritual maturity with academic abilities and leadership qualities
  • Displays strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and
    organizational skills
  • Fosters healthy relationships with students, parents, co-workers and administration
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently and sets goals and objectives
  • Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, promptly return phone calls and answer emails
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting events, clubs and student organizations
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Elementary Spanish Teacher

PART-TIME: 5 hours / week

Elementary Spanish teacher needed for the upcoming school year! Days and times are flexible and can be built around your schedule.

Ideal candidate can create and implement Spanish lesson plans, manage the classroom effectively, and maintain a positive, biblically-based learning environment.

PART-TIME: 20-25 hours / week

GCS is looking for a part-time cook, Monday-Friday. Experience and credentials are a plus, but training is available! Job duties include planning and preparing meals that meet proper nutritional requirements, ensuring that food is stored and handled properly, ensuring that the kitchen and equipment are thoroughly sanitized daily, and ordering and managing food and supplies.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Pass a state and federal background check and fingerprinting.
  • Have a current Washington state food handlers card.
  • Have or be able to obtain a current first aid and CPR card.
  • Be able to lift at least 25 lbs.

Substitute Teacher

PART-TIME: As needed (hourly pay)

Immediate need for substitute teachers! No prior teaching experience is required. In addition to classroom teachers, subs are also needed for our specialist teachers, front desk, cook, lunchroom and recess. Subs are "on-call" and can accept or pass on each opportunity, providing the ultimate flexibility!

Teacher's Assistant

FULL-TIME: 35-40 hours / week
PART-TIME: 20-25 hours / week

Gateway Learning Center is looking for part-time and full-time teacher's assistants, Monday-Friday. Experience and credentials are a plus, but training is available! Job duties include creating a safe, loving, and welcoming environment that continually engages children, being a cooperative team member, working alongside and taking direction from your lead teacher, and actively participating in all activities with the children, including snack, lunches, and play.

Job Requirements:

  • Pass a state and federal background check and fingerprinting.
  • Have a current food handlers card.
  • Love working with children and playing, messes and snack time.
  • Have a sense of humor, tolerance, and patience.
  • Be able to walk, run, lift, and possibly hula-hoop.

Lead Teacher

FULL-TIME: 35-40 hours / week

As the lead teacher, it is your duty to create a safe, loving, and welcoming environment that continually engages children, develop and implement lesson plans and activities appropriate for the developmental stages of your students, actively participate in all activities with the children, including snack, lunches, and play, and have the ability to delegate tasks to assistants, manage classroom atmosphere, and be a cooperative team member.
