Financial Controller

FULL-TIME: 40 hours / week

Gateway Fellowship is looking for a capable, diligent financial controller to manage the accounting and payroll operations of the organization, as well as cash management and risk management, along with supervising all accounting staff. 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • 2+ years of staff management experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting standards
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, general ledger software and overall tech savvy with new online program

Youth Pastor

FULL-TIME: 40 hours / week

Gateway Fellowship's Youth Pastor is part of a pastoral team working together to fulfill the commandment of Jesus to "go and make disciples" in Poulsbo and surrounding communities. The Youth Pastor works specifically with 6th to 12th grade students to guide and encourage them as they discover and mature in their faith in Christ.

The Youth Pastor will:
  • Work well in a team environment and contribute to the discussion and vision of Gateway
  • Be a passionate follower of Jesus with an active devotional life that is evidenced in action, attitude, and behavior
  • Be supportive of other team members seeking to work in harmony with one another
  • Be passionate about leading and discipling youth
GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Organize and lead ministry teams
  • Provide ongoing training for volunteers
  • Assure that all ministries are equipped to fulfill their mission
  • Participate in regular church events
  • Develop and maintain the student ministries budget
SPECIFIC RESPONSILBILITES
  • Weekly youth gathering
  • Sunday youth program (currently 9:00 AM)
  • Mid-week groups
  • Special events including winter and summer camps
  • Participation in all-church events as scheduled
ESSENTIAL/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience or proven ability to direct a large youth ministries program
  • BA or BS degree required, divinity degree desirable
  • Meets biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership
  • Organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to build and lead volunteer teams
  • Competency with basic computer software and a desire to learn new skills
  • Effective communicator

Bus/Van Drivers & Substitutes

PART-TIME: As needed (hourly pay)

This job requires you to transport children to and from school, maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times, obey all traffic laws, perform inspections of the vehicle before and after each route, and to ensure safety of all students.

Job Requirements:

  • Pass a state and federal background check and fingerprinting.
  • Be dependable and on time.
  • Enjoy working with students.
  • CDL license required with bus endorsement.

Art enthusiast immediately needed to teach upper elementary art! There are four 45-minute classes, one on Tuesday, one on Wednesday, and two on Thursday. Ideal candidate can create and implement art lesson plans, manage the classroom effectively, and maintain a positive, biblically-based learning environment.

Knitting Teacher

PART-TIME: 5 1/2 hours / week

Knitting enthusiast needed for the school year to teach handknitting, knitting and crochet to K-5 students. This position is part-time, 5.5 hours per week, with one hour of prep time included. Classes are 30 minutes and each grade will meet for one class each week.

Choose your own schedule: one day per week, anytime between 8:30am-2:30pm, or split the time between two afternoons if you prefer!

Immediate need for substitute teachers! No prior teaching experience is required. In addition to classroom teachers, subs are also needed for our specialist teachers, front desk, cook, lunchroom and recess. Subs are "on-call" and can accept or pass on each opportunity, providing the ultimate flexibility!

PART-TIME: 25 hours / week

Elementary teacher's aide needed to assist students in the classroom, lunchroom and at recess. Job duties include assisting students with coursework, tying shoes, opening lunches, resolving conflicts, and other academic and interpersonal endeavors, assisting classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans, helping to manage the classroom effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment, supervising students in and out of the classroom, on the playground and in the cafeteria.

Kindergarten Teacher

FULL-TIME: 30-40 hours / week

Gateway Elementary is looking for a kindergarten teacher! This is a full-time, contract teaching position with benefits and a generous tuition discount! Lead Teacher

PART-TIME: 20-25 hours / week

Our ideal candidate loves 3-5 year-olds, is passionate about sharing their faith with students and has previous teaching experience, preferably at the preschool level. Job duties include creating a safe, loving, and welcoming environment that continually engages children, developing and implementing lesson plans and activities appropriate for the developmental stage of your students, actively participating in activities with students (including snack and playtime), delegating tasks to assistants, managing classroom atmosphere, and being a cooperative team member.

Learning Center Director

FULL-TIME: 40 hours / week

The Learning Center Director manages our day-to-day operations and establishes a positive learning environment for children. The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in managing all aspects of a learning center (ages 12 month through 6 years), as well as strong leadership skills. 

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age (WA law is 18)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite 
  • Have knowledge of child development as evidenced by professional reference, education, experience and on-the-job performance
  • Willingness to attain any necessary state-mandated Director requirements within 6 months of employment
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing childcare

Lead Teacher

FULL-TIME: 35-40 hours / week

As the lead teacher, it is your duty to create a safe, loving, and welcoming environment that continually engages children, develop and implement lesson plans and activities appropriate for the developmental stages of your students, actively participate in all activities with the children, including snack, lunches, and play, and have the ability to delegate tasks to assistants, manage classroom atmosphere, and be a cooperative team member. $350 signing bonus.

  • Have STARS certification
  • Pass a state and federal background check and fingerprinting.

Program Supervisor

FULL-TIME: 35-40 hours / week
*Immediate Need - Hiring Bonus $350

Gateway Learning Center is looking for a full-time Program Supervisor, Monday-Friday. Experience and credentials are a plus, but training is available! Job duties include overseeing curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, licensing, policy and Early Achievers requirements. The position also must provide classroom support for lead and assistant teachers, recruit, hire and train new staff, oversee and support staff professional development, ensure high quality program and classroom standards, and assist the director in administrative duties.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Have ECE State Credential.
  • Pass a state and federal background check and fingerprinting.
  • Have a current Washington state food handlers card.
  • Love working with children and playing, messes and snack time.
  • Have a sense of humor, tolerance, and patience.

Teacher's Assistant

PART-TIME: 20-25 hours / week

Gateway Learning Center is looking for a part-time teacher's assistant, Monday-Friday, 20-25 hour per week. Experience and credentials are a plus, but training is available! Job duties include creating a safe, loving, and welcoming environment that continually engages children, being a cooperative team member, working alongside and taking direction from your lead teacher, and actively participating in all activities with the children, including snack, lunches, and play.
