Jesus was baptized, and He calls those who follow Him to be baptized as well (Matthew 28:19).

Baptism is a powerful next step in following Jesus and a meaningful moment to celebrate new life in Him.
It is an outward expression of an inward decision to trust Jesus and make Him the Lord of your life. At Gateway, we believe baptism is both simple and deeply meaningful—a public declaration of faith and obedience.
We practice full-immersion baptism as a picture of what Jesus has done for us. Going under the water represents the old life being buried, and coming out of the water symbolizes new life in Christ (Romans 6:4).
If you’ve chosen to follow Jesus, baptism is your next step. We celebrate baptisms during special gatherings throughout the year, and we encourage you to invite family and friends to be part of it.
